kate's background with volunteering
There are sometimes volunteering opportunities here at Kate’s Garden. From helping with animal care, gardening, and general maintenance, to counselling (for trainee counsellors).
Kate has worked with a huge number of volunteers as part of her previous role at the University of Essex. Her incredibly popular arts education programme of events at the University provided opportunities for thousands of student volunteers to gain experience engaging with the general public through the arts.
Kate designed and delivered a unique creative employability module at the University of Essex for students- taking them out into the community and supporting them to deliver high quality creative workshops to children in schools. She supported Ambassadors to gain work experience before they entered their own careers and provided placements for Frontrunners to gain a deep understanding of the arts education sector. Kate is extremely well placed to offer volunteering positions.

There are a variety of volunteering opportunities here at Elle’s Garden. From helping with animal care, gardening, and general maintenance, to counselling (for trainee counsellors). Counselling volunteers must be studying on an accredited course, be members of BACP, have their own indemnity and public liability insurance, and monthly supervision. Any counselling volunteers working with us will be identified as “trainees” and will provide low-cost, accessible, counselling for Kate’s Garden.
